遷址啟示

HONG KONG - Wikimedia Hong Kong is happy to announce that the official website of Wikimedia Hong Kong, at http://wikimediahk.org is open to public. Along with the Media-wiki Main Site, the official blog of the Chapter, the Gazette of Wikimedia Hong Kong, will be no longer updated on blogger. Instead the update and the posts before will be move to here, http://blog.wikimediahk.org/. The pages of meta.wikimedia.org will soon be updated to be a hub for gathering opinions of the Wikimedians, along with hubs on en.wikipedia.org and zh.wikipedia.org.

香港維基媒體協會網站(http://wikimediahk.org )於今日正式啟用。與此同時，官方發布協會通訊的網址，也同時搬至現網址(http://blog.wikimediahk.org/)。原來協會在元維基的臨時網頁，將變為協會收集本地維基人意見的平台，如同協會近日在英文維基百科和中文維基百科建立的平台一般。

First Anniversary Conference of Wikimedia Hong Kong

Almost one year ago, Wikimedia Hong Kong was established as the local chapter of Wikimedia. The progress of transferring readers to editors is a crucial part of expending foundation of Wikimedia's credibility. The audience of education today is just the readers and possible editors tomorrow. So we would like to discuss how to promote Wikimedia and her web 2.0 endeavors in education sector in this conference, as well as a better promotion for the free culture in Hong Kong.

The Application for membership of Wikimedia Hong Kong is now open.

為方便申請人，臨時理事會的相關人員和義工將會巡迴各區，定點收集申請人遞交的表格，並將發出會員證予以資格已核准的會員。

In convenience of membership applicants, the Provisional Directory will provide a circuit service for membership recruitment. Provisional directors and volunteers will go to different locations in different parts of the territory, to receive the application forms & distribute membership cards to those whose membership was approved.

若你不能通過巡迴服務遞交申請，敬請聯絡協會秘書，以便安排特別服務。

WMHK was officially recognized as the Wikimedia Chapter

For Release: 4 March, 2008

HONG KONG - According to the official website of Wikimedia Foundation (WMF), The Board of Trustees of the Foundation officially recognized Wikimedia Hong Kong Limited(香港維基媒體協會有限公司, WMHK) as a Wikimedia Chapter.

All the provisional directors of the chapter welcomed the decision. Mr K. M. Lam, the President of the provisional directory believed that all the Wikimedians in the territory will be pleased by the long-waited resolution.

The provision directory will hold a serials of small celebrations for such news in the coming days, to honor and thank those who had helped with the establishment of the chapter. Also, Wikimedians in Hong Kong can apply for their WMHK membership very soon, after the announcement of the relevant process from the provisional directory. ###

本會獲維基媒體基金會認可為正式地方分會

[香港] - 據維基媒體基金會官方網站今日正式公布，香港維基媒體協會有限公司(Wikimedia Hong Kong Limited，下稱｢本會｣) 已於獲維基媒體基金會之理事會，認可為維基媒體的正式地方分會。

本會各臨時理事獲悉後，皆表示歡迎這個決定。臨時理事會主席林敬文表示，相信在港的維基媒體人，都會為這個消息感到高興。

臨時理事會將在近期舉辦小型的慶祝活動，感謝在本會成立至今，各方友好對本會的幫助和關注。另外臨時理事會也會很快展開正式會員招募程序，詳情將另行公布。 (完)
